Job summary

NOV in Kulai, Johor, Malaysia is seeking a physical, hands-on Fitter/Operator to perform fitting rework on fiberglass products. You will grind, blast, coat, and repair parts, read work instructions, and strictly follow safety rules and PPE requirements in a noisy, hot, and dusty manufacturing environment.

You'll inspect for defects, operate curing ovens, spray guns and hand tools safely, and ensure timely rework with quality standards.

Qualifications

• PMR qualification or technical/vocational diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in manufacturing or production environment.
• Able to read and follow work instructions, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Able to operate basic hand tools and machinery and perform repetitive manual labor in hot, dusty, wet and noisy conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform fitting rework activities including grinding, blasting, coating, and repair of fiberglass products.
• Follow safety rules, SOPs, and PPE requirements with zero tolerance for unsafe behavior.
• Grind sharp edges on products without causing dimensional or surface damage.
• Inspect products for internal and external defects and perform necessary rework.
• Operate curing ovens, spray guns, grinders, and hand tools safely and correctly.
• Maintain good housekeeping and 5S practices in work areas.
• Perform accurate product labeling and stenciling as per SOP requirements.
• Any other duties assigned by superior from time to time.
