About the Role

As a Failure Analysis Technician at GBM ELECTRONICS (M) SDN. BHD.', you will play a crucial role in identifying and resolving issues related to electronic components and products. Reporting to the Engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations and analysis to uncover the root causes of failures, helping the company improve its product quality and reliability. This full-time position is based in Chemor Perak.

What you'll be doing

Perform detailed failure analysis on electronic components and assemblies to identify root causes of issues

Utilize various testing and diagnostic equipment to analyze product failures

Document and report findings from failure analysis investigations

Recommend corrective actions and process improvements to prevent future failures

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and track their effectiveness

Maintain detailed records and documentation of analysis procedures and results

Continuously stay updated with the latest failure analysis techniques and industry best practices

Knowledge Requirements

Understanding of Multimeter functions

Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams

Familiarity with electronic components and their functions

Knowledge of block diagrams and system-level troubleshooting

Required Skills

Proficiency in soldering, including the use of solder tin and hot air gun rework

Strong repair and circuit analysis skills

Experience with BGA rework

Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
