Job summary

Upscale in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Factory Operations Manager to oversee overall manufacturing, ensure production quality, and optimize resource utilization.

You will lead cross-functional communication across Sales, Procurement, Finance, HR & Admin, and drive process improvements while meeting tight deadlines.

The role requires a degree in Food Tech, at least 5 years of factory management, fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia, and strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Tech or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years in factory management.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Team player with good management and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Location: Perai, Penang.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily factory operations and ensure effective inter-department communication across Sales, Procurement, Finance, HR & Admin.
• Develop and enhance manufacturing processes and factory operations.
• Optimize deployment of manpower and materials.
• Implement process improvements to increase safety and quality while reducing costs.
• Lead continuous improvement and comply with production and safety procedures.
• Develop strategies, procedures and policies to grow factory operations.
• Participate in any assigned ad-hoc projects.
