Job description

Job Description (JD):
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facility Manager to oversee and manage the overall facility operations at our manufacturing site in Johor Bahru. This role is critical in ensuring the facilitys infrastructure, equipment, and environment meet the operational needs of a high-standard EMS/semiconductor company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and be capable of leading renovation projects, facility upgrades, and daily maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire facility management operations including building maintenance, utilities, HVAC, electrical systems, and safety compliance.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate renovation or expansion projects to ensure they meet timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Liaise with internal departments, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth execution of facility projects.
  • Monitor and manage facility budgets and procurement of services, equipment, and supplies.
  • Implement preventive maintenance plans and ensure timely repair of equipment and infrastructure.
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies in accordance with company and government regulations.
  • Lead a team of technicians and contractors; provide guidance and performance oversight.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Asia Director.
Job Requirements (JR):
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years of facility management experience, preferably in an EMS or semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing renovation and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and EHS standards.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Mandarin (spoken and written) to communicate with internal stakeholders and contractors.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
