An established industry player is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee investment, development, and maintenance works at their site. This role involves ensuring compliance with national and international standards, managing infrastructure, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. 1. Planning: Plans all investment, development, and maintenance works at the site for buildings, grounds, transformer, generator set, machinery, and equipment. Monitors cost estimates, development orders, and projects related to the construction of machinery and equipment. Plans budgets and necessary capacities considering services from external contractors. Obtains approval from the M&E manager and site manager for budget planning. Develops and provides layout plans.
2. Technology/Engineering related to facility definition: Keeps informed about new technical developments. Submits proposals for improving technical operations, premises, machinery, and equipment related to the facility. Plans and coordinates all equipment installations. Ensures adherence to national and international standards and regulations for facilities and maintains proper documentation.
3. Infrastructure: Ensures the site’s infrastructure is fully and efficiently supplied with electrical, energy, and other utilities. Manages infrastructure and building development. Monitors and reports energy consumption and savings measures in collaboration with production units. Ensures, develops, and controls fire protection systems/equipment and other safety-related equipment. Monitors and controls structural integrity and provides necessary documentation.
4. TPM (Total Preventive Maintenance): Controls and analyzes the efficiency of planned and executed measures. Ensures proper documentation of buildings, areas, and maintenance plans. Initiates regular audits of all areas and equipment to minimize downtime, identify causes of failures, and implement corrective actions. Manages CBM&TBM, waste disposal, building security, and space allocation for operations.
5. Service provider: Defines the scope of services based on business needs and local regulations. Monitors service provider discipline, performance, and efficiency. Ensures regular training and cost improvements for services.
6. Supervision: Leads, promotes, and motivates employees within the area of responsibility. Conducts performance appraisals, sets goals, and oversees personnel development and training.
7. EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety): Ensures compliance with legal laws and internal regulations concerning EHS. Participates in developing new concepts and directives in collaboration with the EHS site advisor. Implements EHS concepts and provides training to employees.
Job Requirements
- Facility, costing, and project management experience.
- Knowledge of Building By Laws.
- Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in project and facilities management.
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
