Possehl Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for ensuring that facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained in good working condition.

The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance across air compressor, scrubber, exhaust ventilation, electrical distribution, HVAC, plumbing, and general civil/building maintenance to minimize downtime and sustain smooth operations. Training and safety compliance are required.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum SPM, SKM, or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Must possess AO Chargeman competency certificate or higher, recognized by the Malaysian authority.
• Preferably 2–3 years of working experience in industrial facility maintenance.
• Hands-on experience in air compressor systems and related equipment.
• Experience with industrial scrubber and exhaust ventilation systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose faults and propose practical solutions.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, valves, and building maintenance.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and manuals.
• Knowledge of inverter/VFD operation and motor control basics.
• Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to breakdowns with minimal supervision.
• Able to work shifts and overtime when required.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, communication, discipline, and problem-solving.

Aufgaben

• To perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of facility equipment, utilities, and infrastructure to ensure reliable operation.
• To troubleshoot and maintain air compressor systems, including compressors, air dryers, air receivers, pipelines, pressure monitoring devices, and associated equipment.
• To perform inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial scrubber systems, including circulation pumps, exhaust fans, motors, spray nozzles, piping, and associated components.
• To troubleshoot, inspect, and maintain exhaust ventilation systems, including exhaust fans, motors, inverters, and related electrical and mechanical components.
• To perform electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical distribution systems, lighting, wiring, motor control circuits, contactors, relays, and other facility electrical equipment within the scope of competency and authorization.
• To carry out mechanical troubleshooting and repair of pumps, motors, bearings, valves, piping systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• To perform plumbing and piping maintenance, including repairing water leaks, replacing damaged pipes and valves, and maintaining water supply and drainage systems.
• To carry out general civil and building maintenance, including repairs to floors, walls, ceilings, doors, roofs, and other building components.
• To inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC systems and other facility utility equipment to ensure proper operation.
• To identify equipment faults, investigate root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurring breakdowns.
• To respond promptly to facility breakdowns and emergencies, assess the situation, and carry out necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
• To perform scheduled preventive maintenance and equipment condition inspections, identify potential failures, and recommend maintenance or replacement actions.
• To assist in the installation, testing, commissioning, modification, and improvement of facility equipment, electrical systems, and utility infrastructure.
• To monitor equipment operating conditions, including abnormal noise, vibration, temperature, pressure, and leakage, and report abnormalities to the superior.
• To coordinate and monitor contractors performing facility maintenance, repair, and installation works, ensuring compliance with the scope of work and safety requirements.
• To maintain accurate maintenance records, breakdown reports, inspection checklists, and spare parts usage records.
• To execute any other duties assigned by superior from time to time.
