The Facility Engineer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the facility’s infrastructure and building systems. This role ensures the facility operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulations, while also leading energy management and preventive maintenance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the maintenance and repair of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, fire protection, and building structure.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Coordinate and monitor facility improvement and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
- Monitor utility usage and implement energy-saving measures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facility equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage and liaise with external contractors, service providers, and regulatory agencies.
- Respond promptly to facility-related issues and emergencies; troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Maintain documentation related to facility operations, service records, asset inventory, and maintenance logs.
- Support space planning and layout changes, ensuring ergonomic and efficient workplace design.
- Assist in budgeting and cost control for maintenance and facility projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Solid knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, fire safety, and plumbing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong sense of responsibility, safety awareness, and attention to detail.
