Job description

Facility Engineer and Technician (2 position)

(1) Facility Engineer and OSH-Coordinator

Responsible for the building overall management and operational activities.

Attend to day-to-day maintenance operations for the building and maintain proper records of maintenance checklists and documentations.

Promptly attend to all emergencies and rectified with minimal disruption and inconvenience.

Log, update, and maintain all facilities, building and services spare parts, tools, and instruments.

Devise and implement effective program to ensure optimal building operations such as cold room and other facility’s equipment (i.e. preventive maintenance programs, service agreement with external service providers, etc.)

Manage the coordination of outsourced contractors such as Cleaning, Security, Pest Control, Waste Management, etc.

Ensure all areas of the building comply with local regulation by conducting appropriate risk assessment and safety awareness, and to serve as the OSH-Coordinator of the workplace.

Review and advise on the building’s environmental, health and safety matters.

Promptly attend to Tenant’s complaints and to answer all enquiries professionally and tactfully.

Carry out basic maintenance works within the building as and when required.

To manage other facility technicians, and to hire facility technicians as and when required.

To inform superior/duty personnels for all faults/alarms/abnormalities for all systems.

To learn and maintain any other new/additional systems not mentioned as assigned by superior

Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned by superior

Qualifications/Requirements

Education in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

At least 5 years of relevant experience in facility management

Hands-on and strong technical competencies in maintenance

Perform standby / duty to attend to emergencies after office hours, weekends and public holidays when needed.

Must be physically fit, able to work under sub-zero environment (cold room), no colour blind and height phobia

Ability to work under pressure and tight schedules

Proficient in both English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin (to liaise with both Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin speaking associates)

(2) Facility Technician

Key Responsibilities:-

Responsible for the facilities management and operational activities;

Devise and implement effective program to ensure optimal building's operations including coldroom/facility equipment's performance (preventive maintenance programs, service agreement with external service providers etc.);

Responsible for the overall smooth operation of the building, coldroom and ensures all emergencies are attended to promptly and rectified with minimal disruption and inconvenience;

Ensure all areas of the facility in the building comply with local regulation by conducting appropriate risk assessment and safety awareness;

Manage coordination of outsource contractors for Cleaning, Security, Pest Control and Waste Management;

Involve in the building's environmental, health and safety matters;

To attend to tenant's complaints and to answer all enquiries professionally and tactfully;

To carry out basic maintenance works within the building;

Any other ad-hoc works/projects assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:-

At least 5 years relevant experience in facility management.

Possess strong technical competencies pertaining to chiller, ACMV etc.

Proficiency in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Ability to work under pressure and tight schedule.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work after office hours, and on weekend and public holidays, as assigned.
