Facilities Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Complete work orders on a timely basis by following Sanmina standard operating procedures.
2. Perform day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance within the Sanmina premises and ensure all utilities supplied to Production are within control limits. If any issues arise, immediately inform the Engineer to take necessary action to rectify the situation.
3. Respond promptly and efficiently to any work or maintenance calls from either the Facility Engineer or other departments.
4. Respond politely and promptly to requesters and resolve matters to their satisfaction.
5. Prioritize work or maintenance issues and attend to breakdowns as a priority.
6. Perform maintenance activities in any areas including electrical equipment, plumbing, ESD tiles, and air conditioning.
7. Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment related to Facility.
8. Monitor HVAC system to maintain RH% and temperature in production within control limits.
9. Monitor fire alarm/life safety systems as necessary, be fully informed of system operations, and handle emergencies involving the systems.
10. Understand and operate electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and water systems.
11. Communicate with different departments to provide information and assistance.
12. Check for new maintenance or work requests arranged by the Engineer and update remarks once the task is completed.
13. Utilize technical abilities to solve problems and make repairs effectively and efficiently.
14. Maintain a daily logbook of work done during the shift.
15. Take charge of a shift.
16. Complete the daily checklist before handing over the shift.
17. Ensure the smooth functioning of all machinery and equipment.
18. Provide proper handover to the next shift and conduct regular briefings with shift staff.
19. Pass down and update all complaints received to the next shift technician and to the Engineer.
20. Execute the preventative maintenance schedule and ensure all equipment and designated areas are maintained to required standards.
21. Make decisions when the Engineer and Assistant Engineer are not available.
22. Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition.
23. Keep the engineering working area and control desk in good condition at all times.
24. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
25. Train and instruct other staff members by sharing knowledge and skills.
26. Attend all firefighting classes to obtain thorough knowledge of firefighting appliances.
27. Perform any other job assigned by management as required.
28. Develop criteria and performance specifications to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes.
29. May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Minimum 2 to 4 years of similar experience.
2. Diploma in Electronics Engineering.
3. Knowledge in Water Treatment System (IETS) & Electrical troubleshooting.
