About the role

We are seeking a talented Facilities & Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Frontken Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Kedah. As a full-time employee, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficient operation of our facilities and ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing the maintenance and repair of all building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other infrastructure
• Conducting scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections to identify and address any issues proactively
• Coordinating with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and effective completion of projects
• Monitoring and optimising energy consumption to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Providing technical support and guidance to the operations team as needed

What we're looking for

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Facilities Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar facilities maintenance or engineering role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and industrial equipment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
