About The Role

As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building systems, including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services team, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems, ensuring facilities meet applicable standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety directives.
  • Maintain energy management programs to optimize system efficiency.
  • Implement preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Follow safety policies for hazardous materials and maintain a safe, clean workplace.
  • Inspect building systems like fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation within design parameters.
  • Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems and provide innovative solutions.
  • Mentor colleagues and share knowledge within the team.
  • Lead by example, embodying CBRE RISE values, and foster teamwork and consensus.
  • Manage customer, operational, and project activities within the team and related departments.
  • Work within established guidelines and policies.
  • Communicate complex or sensitive information effectively.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of relevant experience; experience and education combined will be considered. Universal CFC certification preferred; additional certifications may be required locally. Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks involving stooping, standing, walking, climbing, and lifting loads over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to analyze information and exercise sound judgment.
  • Openness to new approaches and solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills for calculating percentages, fractions, and financial figures.
