Job summary

ICHOR Systems Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Facility Engineer to manage and maintain electrical installations and building infrastructure. The role includes overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance for smooth plant operations.

Strong mechanical/electrical knowledge and 5–8 years of experience are required. The incumbent will drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, and troubleshooting while supporting

Job description

Responsible for managing and maintaining facility systems and infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The role will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, facility improvement projects, utilities, and contractor activities while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. The Facility Engineer will also support troubleshooting, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain smooth plant operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining the overall electrical installation and maintenance of the plant. He is also responsible for providing technical guidance for the team on the facilities and assisting the management in ensuring the workplace/equipment safety comply with relevant standard regulations or procedures.
• Responsible for carrying out all duties of chargeman as required under Electrical Act and Regulation (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
• Ensure the installations and maintenances are safe and legally adhered and Routine checks on all the SSB Panel & Electrical installation.
• Responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical wiring and electrical works.
• Plan, organize and implement a comprehensive program (including both corrective and preventive activities) to ensure smooth operation of all electrical installations.
• Conduct periodic inspection and maintenance for all electrical systems
• To install, repair, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on Facilities equipment.
• Monitoring and handling of the following M&E equipment in the building to ensure that they are in good running condition, on weekly/monthly basis according to the schedule:
• Supervise the work or site visit inspection of contractors and monitor their performance.
• All the facility equipment should be always maintained and ready for use.
• Ensure the smooth operations of the pump-houses and the hydrants.
• Follow to all ICHOR policies and procedures.
• Undertakes any additional/ad-hoc duties assigned when required.
• To carry out any additional/ad-hoc duties, functions and responsibilities as directed/assigned by the Management.
• Immediate reporting to Manager regarding any abnormality observed.
• Carry out checking and Preventive Maintenance of Facilities Equipment’s
• Coordinate with the wiremen contractors and ensure all electrical installation around the buildings are done in the required manner.
• Any other related duties as assigned by the superior or the Manager

Job Requirements:

• Experience: 5 to 8 years in an industrial, manufacturing, or commercial facility environment.
• AO/A4 Chargeman Certificate
• Technical Knowledge: Strong background in mechanical/electrical systems,
• Soft Skills: Clear communication, problem-solving, and project
