Job summary

Flex is seeking a Director of Facilities to lead regional teams across Southeast Asia from Perai, Penang. You will oversee all facilities operations and maintenance at state-of-the-art manufacturing sites, ensuring safety, reliability, and uninterrupted production.

The role requires 15+ years in senior facilities management in manufacturing, with 8+ years in leadership, plus a relevant engineering degree, strong communication, and deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, fire systems,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior facilities management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry and 8 years in senior leadership roles.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong communication and manufacturing industry experience required: Electronics manufacturing, Semiconductor or Industrial manufacturing.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, Electrical distribution, Fire systems, Building automation and civil engineering.

Responsibilities

• Establish regional facilities strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Ensure safe, reliable operation of all facilities infrastructure including HVAC, electrical, and fire protection.
• Review and approve project scope, budget, schedules and contractor selection.
• Develop and manage regional facilities OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations and corporate policies.
• Oversee facility audits and inspections, and energy reduction roadmap.
• Partner with stakeholders and act as regional escalation point for major facility issues.

Job Summary

This is a critical role as the Director of Facilities. You will oversee all facilities operations and maintenance at the company's state-of-the-art manufacturing sites.

What a typical day looks like:

• Lead and develop facility teams across all Southeast Asia sites.

• Establish regional facilities strategy aligned with corporate objectives

• Ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of all facilities infrastructure including: Electrical systems, HV/LV distribution systems, Chillers and HVAC systems, Compressed air systems, Process cooling water systems & Fire protection systems

• Review and approve project scope, budget, schedules, and contractor selection.

• Develop and manage regional facilities OPEX and CAPEX budgets

• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and corporate policies.

• Oversee facility-related audits and inspections.

• Develop regional energy reduction roadmap

• Partner closely with stakeholders & serve as the regional escalation point for major facility issues

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
