Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Utilities Manager to oversee factory systems in a semiconductor manufacturing setting in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. About the Role

You will be responsible for managing factory utilities and auxiliary systems (power, water, gas, air, wastewater, exhaust). This role ensures smooth daily operations, high equipment uptime, energy efficiency, and compliance in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage utilities & factory facilities systems to support production (power, water, gas, air, wastewater, exhaust).
  • Plan and implement maintenance schedules (annual & monthly) to keep equipment reliable and efficient.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Lead the installation, commissioning & acceptance of new equipment.
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance & energy usage; drive cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Supervise, train & motivate the maintenance team to improve skill levels and performance.
  • Ensure safety standards, compliance & hazard prevention measures are in place.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in facility/utilities management (manufacturing/semiconductor preferred).
  • Hands‑on knowledge of factory systems (water, power, gas, wastewater treatment, exhaust gas).
  • Strong leadership, planning & communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English & Mandarin to serve Mandarin‑speaking customers (written & spoken).
