Job description

Utilize Microsoft Fabric for data integration and processing, including Notebooks, Azure Data Factory, and Dataflow Gen2.

Evaluate and select the appropriate Fabric storage service—Lakehouse or Data Warehouse—based on project requirements and data architecture needs.

Design, develop, and optimize semantic models for data analysis and reporting.

Analyze and assess data modeling approaches, such as Star Schema and Data Vault, and data storage strategies like Data Lake vs. DWH, to build robust and efficient data-driven solutions.

Write clean, efficient, and reusable code using SQL, Python, DAX, and M language.

Support machine learning initiatives by performing feature engineering and assisting in model deployment.

Manage lifecycle of data applications using Azure DevOps, and create insightful visualizations with Power BI.

Share knowledge and contribute to team growth through cross-project collaboration, peer reviews, and internal learning sessions.

Requirements:

Strong communication skills for professional interaction with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.

A collaborative mindset and willingness to engage in team initiatives beyond direct project responsibilities.

Commitment to continuous professional development through certifications, training, or attending relevant conferences.

Interest in advancing skills related to data science, AI, and emerging data technologies.

Experience with or an interest in PowerApps development/integration is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience with Microsoft Fabric and its ecosystem (Dataflows Gen2, OneLake, Lakehouse, Synapse-style DWH).

Familiarity with Azure services, Power BI, and DevOps practices.

Certifications such as DP-600 (Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer) or similar are a strong advantage.

Leuze electronic Malaysia Sdn Bhd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Leuze electronic GmbH+Co.KG. The plant is being constructed on a site area spanning over 17,000 square meters. Completion is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022. In an initial expansion phase, approximately 4,500 quare meters will be prepared for production and warehouse logistics operations as well as 1,000 square meters for administration. The total usable floor space will be just under 7,000 square meters-of which approximately 2,000 square meters will be used for production. In Malacca, Leuze will primarily produce sensors for the local Asian market, for example, in intralogistics and in laboratory automation.
