F&B Supervisor - Banquet

The F&B Supervisor - Banquet is a key member of the Food & Beverage team, responsible for delivering exceptional service during large events, ensuring quality, professionalism, and guest satisfaction. The role involves supervising service, training staff, resolving guest concerns, and maintaining standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow payroll and uniform procedures.
  • Provide guests with expertly served beverages and dining experiences, adhering to Four Seasons standards.
  • Manage the sequence of service for all events efficiently.
  • Anticipate guest needs proactively.
  • Serve and clear food and beverages professionally.
  • Be knowledgeable about wine and beverage service, including stemware and garnishes.
  • Familiarize with all F&B offerings and confidently discuss them with guests.
  • Train new employees according to the training manual.
  • Complete opening and closing duties.
  • Supervise function rooms in the absence of management.
  • Handle guest concerns promptly and inform management.
  • Maintain a positive working environment.
  • Inspect function spaces and ensure they are well-maintained and set properly.
  • Ensure efficient service during events, anticipating guest needs.
  • Serve and reset tables, including handling special requests like cigars or drinks.
  • Address guest satisfaction and resolve issues.
  • Report accidents immediately.
  • Manage guest safety and security, including intoxicated guests.
  • Respond to emergencies appropriately.
  • Move and set up tables and chairs as needed.
  • Break down buffets and clean service areas.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Strong guest service orientation.
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage, wine preferred.
  • Familiarity with Micros POS system is an advantage.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Proficiency in English; ability to speak Bahasa Malaysia is required.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Legal right to work in Malaysia.
