EYFS Teaching Assistant will be based at Sunsuria City, Sepang, and available to start work on 13 August 2025. In line with the Concord ethos, the Primary Teaching Assistant is responsible for supporting the delivery of engaging lessons and contributing positively to the learning environment.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting student learning;
  2. Supporting learning in core subjects;
  3. Keeping up to date with curriculum developments;
  4. Fluency in the English language;
  5. Setting high expectations for students;
  6. Responding appropriately to student behaviors;
  7. Proactive communication with classroom teachers;
  8. Attending training and engaging in CPD;

Pastoral

  • Promote kindness and high expectations of behavior;
  • Monitor student well-being;
  • Support and take pastoral interest in students;
  • Provide guidance where necessary;
  • Maintain positive relationships with students and parents;
  • Participate in meetings as required;
  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities;
  • Promote student welfare and safeguard students;
  • Report concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead;
  • Supervise students during non-lesson times as needed;
  • Participate in House events and activities.

General

  • Promote the school’s ethos;
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders;
  • Follow school policies;
  • Assist with school marketing where relevant;
  • Maintain professional conduct;
  • Support and attend major school events;
  • Maintain punctuality;
  • Dress professionally;
  • Undertake duties as assigned by the Senior Management Team.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant discipline;
  • PGCE or equivalent for Lead Assistant Teacher consideration.

Personal attributes:

  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Hours of work:

Expected to work hours necessary to fulfill the role, including scheduled lessons, duties, meetings, and school events.
