Responsibilities

1. Improve products, processes, and components to meet objectives, including redesigning products or components for cost, technology obsolescence, and customer requirements.
2. Participate actively in new product introduction, influencing design for manufacturability, conformance with the global supply chain, prototyping, testing reliability, and managing transition into production.
3. Support and implement the transition of products and manufacturing processes from prototype to full production and throughout the product lifecycle.
4. Partner with procurement and technical services to improve and sustain products and processes.
5. May direct third-party vendors or partners to meet contractual deliverables, performance, or business objectives.
6. Work with suppliers to ensure goals for cost, quality, and delivery of parts and materials are achieved.
7. Manage ERP data such as bill of materials and routing.
8. Apply knowledge of materials science to collaborate with R&D, procurement, and manufacturing engineering in sourcing and qualifying materials used in product design and production.
9. Plan, evaluate, and recommend technical, quality, and cost specifications to meet design and business objectives, including identifying and qualifying alternative materials.
10. Work with suppliers to clarify specifications to meet quality, cost, and manufacturability goals.
11. Design, develop, and enhance semiconductor, wafer fabrication, or related devices, equipment, processes, and handling systems.
12. Work on manufacturing engineering assignments with clearly defined objectives.
13. Solve problems of limited scope and complexity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree, or equivalent. No prior experience required; up to 2 years of relevant experience is acceptable.
