The greatest challenge in the position would be language and cultural differences across countries.
In this position, you are going to connect with people of different cultures and languages. It requires a lot of communication, being empathetic, listening, analyzing, and proposing solutions.
Thus, it takes a lot of proactivity, curiosity, empathy, and accountability in this role. Instead of staring at the rock that is blocking you, we think of ways to move the rock or go around it; we take accountability for the business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Principal partner relationship management.
- Responsible for driving the growth of the company's export business by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities in international markets.
- Achieve Company Operation Budget (Top & Bottom Line).
- Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels in export countries.
- Build effective partnerships with in-country distributors, OEM partners, and facilitate cross-functional team collaboration.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and develop feasible business plans with clients.
- Establish new markets with accountability and responsibility.
- Follow through the customer’s journey for repeat orders and marketing activities.
- Responsible for the overall performance of assigned country/region.
- Identify new business opportunities and build sustainable business for the company.
- Negotiate customer pricing to maximize company’s profit.
- Ensure all sales-related expenses are within the agreed budget.
- Analyze and prepare competitor activities and market competitive reports to formulate adequate action plans.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in FMCG or Consumer products is preferred.
- Track record of successfully applying consultative selling and strategic business skills to achieve or exceed revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction targets.
- The ability to interact successfully across cultures.
- Excellent interpersonal and business negotiation skills.
- Good business acumen.
- Fluency in English; ability to speak multiple foreign languages is highly preferred.
- Must be able and willing to travel overseas.
- Self-motivated, self-reliant, and target & performance-oriented.
