You will be a key part of our process engineering team, providing technical insights and support to ExxonMobil’s manufacturing facilities worldwide.

Currently, we seek an Experienced Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Practitioner to join our Kuala Lumpur Technology Center team. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur and involves collaboration with our global LCA and process engineering teams, as well as other ExxonMobil units.

What you will do

If successful, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Provide technical leadership in LCA within the company.
2. Collaborate with process engineers to assess environmental impacts of processes and products.
3. Apply LCA methods to develop solutions for new technologies and products.
4. Support business development through LCA analysis of new applications.
5. Use LCA to evaluate technology options considering policies, advising ExxonMobil accordingly.
6. Gather relevant data from internal and reputable external sources.
7. Mentor and guide new LCA Practitioners.
8. Engage with industry associations to promote scientific methodologies.

About you

Skills and Qualifications
To qualify, you should have:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred).
2. 5-10 years of experience in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or Refining Industry.
3. At least 5 years of experience specifically in LCA technology.
4. Proficiency with LCA software such as SimaPro, GREET, OpenLCA, etc.
5. Strong familiarity with low-carbon process technologies is highly preferred.
6. Background in process technologies related to upstream oil & gas, refining, or chemicals/lubricants manufacturing.
7. Ability to interpret process flowsheets, material, and energy balances.
8. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, especially in multicultural global teams.
9. Ability to influence change with minimal authority.
