Executive, Vendor Management (Transport)

SUMMARY

As a Vendor Management Executive, you’ll be responsible for managing third-party transport service providers to ensure reliable, safe, and cost-effective delivery of goods. You'll play a key role in supporting operations through strong vendor relationships, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement of transport services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily interactions with transport vendors, ensuring service levels and delivery timelines are consistently met.
• Monitor vendor performance using KPIs (e.g., OTIF, load efficiency, compliance) and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Planning, Procurement) to align vendor capabilities with transport needs.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with vendors, providing feedback and driving service improvement initiatives.
• Ensure vendor compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements (e.g., vehicle documents, driver training).
• Resolve operational issues such as delivery delays, capacity constraints, or equipment breakdowns with vendors.
• Support cost analysis, invoice validation, and cost-saving initiatives through data analysis and vendor negotiations.
• Maintain updated vendor records and documents (contracts, insurance, licenses) in line with audit requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in transport operations, vendor management, or logistics coordination.
• Strong understanding of transport operations, including route planning, vehicle types, and delivery scheduling.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Analytical and organized, with the ability to manage multiple vendors and issues simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Excel and transport/logistics systems (experience with TMS or ERP systems is a plus).
• Knowledge of transport compliance and safety standards is preferred.
