Job summary

Hong Leong Bank is seeking a Trade Operations professional for its Tawau Trade Service Centre. The role focuses on processing and authorising trade transactions, handling incoming documents, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The successful candidate should have at least 2 years in trade operations, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office, supporting the bank's Digital-at-the-Core ethos.

Qualifications

• Malaysian citizen with a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Banking/Business Administration or equivalent.
• At least 2 years in trade operations or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Record receipt of documents in the appropriate trade registers and acknowledge Trade Services requests from customers, branches, or other banks.
• Check, verify, process, input and authorize trade transactions in TE2000.
• Examine trade documents and ensure data input accuracy and proper registration of transactions.
• Ensure financing aligns with customer business nature and perform data input/scanning into the Trade Workflow System.

Your attention to detail will be key as you verify, authorize, and ensure the accuracy of trade transactions. You will be a crucial link in the documentation process, handling incoming documents, acknowledging customer requests, and collaborating seamlessly with various stakeholders. If you're passionate about the intricacies of trade services, meticulous in your work, and eager to learn about international trade This role reports to the team lead and the successful candidate will be based in the Trade Service Centre, Tawau office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record receipt of the document in the Incoming Documents Register / Incoming Mail Register / Incoming Fax Register.
• Acknowledge receipt Trade Services request (document) from customers / branches /other bank / other business unit.
• Check, Verify, Process, Input and Authorize trade transactions in TE2000.
• Check, Examination of trade documents.
• Ensure accuracy of data input and registration of trade transactions.
• Ensure financing of trade transactions is in line with the customer's nature of business.
• To perform data input and scanning of documents into the Trade Workflow System.

Job Requirements:

• Education/Qualification Malaysian citizen Holder of Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Banking/Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
• 2 years and above related experience in trade operations.
• Experience & Skillset Knowledge of consumer banking products and services as well as regulations governing the consumer banking business and products is a plus.
• Good written and oral communication skills and ability to interact effectively with people at different levels.
• PC literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office Appliances.
