Job Purpose

Plan and execute media strategies for media communication and engagement with the objectives of fostering and sustaining effective relations.

Garner positive and favourable coverage for the Group that helps influence and shape opinion in support of business objectives and value propositions in line with the corporate strategy.

Develop, plan, and execute stakeholder engagement, mitigation plans, and advisory to internal and external stakeholders.

Main Accountabilities
  1. Media Support and Management
  2. Support and execute media plans and strategies, monitor media coverage, and evaluate the effectiveness of media initiatives to maintain a positive perception of the Group and support brand awareness.
  3. Media Relations and Communications
  4. Support media communication operations (e.g., press releases), disseminate key messages, and respond promptly to issues, crises, and incidents.
  5. Build and sustain effective relationships with key media stakeholders.
  6. Editorial Services
  7. Develop key messages for communication materials such as speeches, video scripts, and messages for dissemination via various channels.
  8. Stakeholder Mapping and Profiling
  9. Identify, profile, and map stakeholders, benchmark against guidelines, and maintain an effective stakeholder database.
  10. Stakeholder Contributions, Monitoring & Reporting
  11. Manage stakeholder contributions, strengthen relationships, and monitor activations using management tools. Conduct gap analysis and recommend improvements.
  12. Develop governance principles and conduct periodic reviews of stakeholder management frameworks.
  13. Design and develop SOPs by identifying key areas, benchmarking, and aligning with guidelines.
Experiences & Qualifications

Degrees in Corporate Affairs/Communications, Journalism, Sociology, or related disciplines.

3-6 years of experience in a related role, with at least 3 years in relevant discipline/industry, preferred.

Experience in stakeholder management, planning, scheduling, and program execution is advantageous. Experience with PETRONAS operations/projects is a plus.

Job Requirements

Proficient in corporate communications/journalism with strong writing skills.

Experience handling communications for public listed or highly visible organizations.

Knowledge of public listing requirements and project delivery in this area.

Media management and liaison experience.

Strong critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills, with confidence in communication across all levels.

Ability to work in an agile environment.
