Job description

Sunway Innovation Labs (iLabs Foundry) at Sunway University is seeking a dynamic, and experienced professional who is passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation. This role contributes to the successful execution of initiatives and community-building efforts, serving as a bridge between programme implementation and ecosystem engagement.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Programme Curation and Management
• Lead the design and delivery of academic and non-academic programmes, ensuring they align with strategic goals.
• Manage programme budgets and resources efficiently.
• Support events like workshops, bootcamps, hackathons, and competitions to ensure high participant engagement.
• Translate programme insights into valuable knowledge assets, such as case studies and best practice guides.
• Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with startup founders, Venture Capital partners, speakers, mentors, industry partners, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee the development and management of MoUs and partnership agreements.
• Represent iLabs at various engagements to enhance visibility and reputation.
• Community Engagement & Ecosystem Development
• Coordinate outreach and engagement activities for the Sunway iLabs startup and alumni network.
• Support the development of events and content that foster collaboration and a sense of belonging within the ecosystem.
• Drive initiatives to maximize the impact of iLabs programmes and partnerships within the university and broader ecosystem.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes and partnerships, recommending improvements as needed.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of collaboration and high performance.

Qualifications & Competencies Required

• Demonstrated success in building and managing strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including industry, academia, and the startup community.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage timelines and multitask in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem and familiarity with key stakeholders (e.g., investors, mentors, founders).
