Job Overview

The Quality Management and Enhancement Centre (QuaMEC) plays a central role in ensuring and maintaining high-quality academic programmes at University of Cyberjaya (UoC). Through its two primary functions — managing the University’s Quality Management System (QMS) and coordinating the accreditation of academic programmes with the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) — QuaMEC serves as a key facilitator in upholding academic standards. The Centre provides coordination and support in the evaluation of academic programmes to ensure they meet established quality benchmarks, while also offering tools, frameworks, and guidance to assist both academic and support departments in their continuous improvement efforts.

The Executive / Senior Executive is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting the accreditation and re-accreditation of UoC programmes with the MQA. In addition, the role involves contributing to broader initiatives aimed at enhancing academic quality and fostering a culture of excellence throughout the University.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate communication and record-keeping on programme compliance with Ministry of Education and Malaysian Qualification Agency requirements.
  • Coordinate implementation of activities pertaining to external review of the institution and accreditation of academic programmes, including:
    • Manage databases for accreditation of programs and other QuaMEC’s databases
    • Coordinate schedule of accreditation visits, necessary documentations, preparations and other logistics for provisional accreditation and full accreditation of academic programs – in accordance with the requirements of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA)
    • Coordinate necessary documentations and logistics of professional programs audit by relevant professional bodies (e.g. Malaysian Medical Council, Pharmacy Board)
    • Communicate to relevant stakeholders (internal and external – MQA) as necessary
  • Safety, accuracy and communication of academic programme records:
    • Manage safety of academic programme documentations (softcopy and hardcopy) – to ensure that the intellectual property of all UoC programmes is preserved
    • Conduct internal checks before submitting documents to the MQA and external parties
    • Prepare reports on accreditation status of UOC academic programme to highest authority in relevant University Meetings (Senate, UMC etc.)
  • Assist in other responsibilities of QuaMEC, when required:
    • Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015): assist coordination of annual internal quality audit and related activities
    • UoC Strategic Planning Secretariat: assist coordination and documentation of UoC Strategic Planning
  • Other duties as required by the Director of QuaMEC and University Management
Skills And Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science or Medical & Health Sciences – with CGPA of 3.5 and above
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written), with excellent digital literacy (Word, Excel & related)
  • Keen interest in academic management and its support services
  • Experience in handling of accreditation (MQA) documents and its related processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Officer in Quality Assurance of Higher Education (Completed Tiers 1-3 of training by MQA)
  • CGPA (bachelor’s degree) of 3.7 and above / first class / honours
  • Meticulous, hardworking and good team-player
