Executive / Senior Executive, Agency Trade Management
The Agency Trade Management team is responsible for voyage fulfilment, allocations, vessel management, market intelligence, and trade development. The team also drives the strategic direction of the trade function at the Regional and Head Office levels, while ensuring the local team aligns with the group’s growth initiatives and operational changes.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure respective vessels perform optimally and weekly allocations and targets are achieved to gain market share.
- Drive the sales/commercial team to improve performance with clients in terms of volume support and revenue generation.
- Coordinate with the Head and Regional Office for operational and commercial support, sharing trade-related information in a timely manner.
- Conduct market studies and analyses to maintain a competitive advantage by gathering relevant market intelligence.
- Monitor market trends and developments, identifying opportunities to grow and expand business segments.
- Serve as a cross-trade reliever among team members when needed.
- Prepare daily vessel forecasts and reviews, including vessel profiles.
- Develop annual trade budget proposals while analyzing market conditions and outlook.
Job Requirements
- Possess at least a SPM/"O" Level, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in any field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in the shipping or logistics industry.
- Results-driven, analytical, and resourceful, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- A proactive team player who is also capable of working independently.
- Willing to be based in Bangsar.
