Job summary

A leading company in Sarawak is seeking a Research Executive to facilitate sales call activities and manage key data for business events. The ideal candidate will possess a diploma or degree in Event Management or a related field with 1-2 years of relevant experience. Assist/ follow the CMCI unit and sales team for sales call activities.

As the focal point for local, national and international contacts including coordination of research/ sales/ networking activities under the CMCI unit.

To research and qualify sales leads, both regional and international business leads for CMCI.

Conduct background and profile checks for clients and qualify the leads for future development i.e Hot Leads.

Key in relevant data into CRM and preparing the Bid Briefs.

Source for new business leads using the available research tools such as Internet research, corporate companies directory, magazines, industry news et cetera. Create CMCI new electronic files to build the database by maintaining, updating and adding relevant info into CRM.

Prepare sales documentation e.g. expression of interest documents, promotional materials and compile necessary data for the sales team.

Assist with CMCI Report on any research required and sales data-related queries for external/internal use.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Diploma or Degree in Event Management / Tourism / Hospitality / Business Studies.

At least 1-2 years of working experience within a similar role.

Strong level of written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia will be an added advantage.

Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Be able to work independently, self-motived, responsible, well-organised and perform under pressure.

Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
