Apex Office Furniture Exporter is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage procurement activities and supplier relationships effectively. The role requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to maintain quality while ensuring timely order delivery. The Purchasing Executive is responsible for managing the full spectrum of procurement-related administrative and operational tasks. This role ensures effective supplier communication, timely order delivery, competitive pricing, and quality standards compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals while maintaining quality, service, and timely delivery standards.
Perform daily procurement activities, including processing Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO), ensuring accurate transaction and payment processes.
Maintain a consistent communication with suppliers regarding order details, delivery timelines, pricing adjustments, and issue resolution to foster positive supplier relationships.
Assist in procurement-related projects by liaising with suppliers, tracking key milestones, and following up on outstanding deliverables.
Conduct research to identify new suppliers, monitor market trends, and analyze pricing and cost structures to support data-driven purchasing decisions.
Organize and maintain supplier catalogs, samples, and color charts to ensure all records are up to date and properly stored.
Input procurement data into internal systems, ensuring accurate and organized records of all activities including contracts, POs, invoices, and related documentation.
Identify opportunities to enhance procurement workflows and systems, and assist in generating reports to improve efficiency and cost control.
Perform any other duties as assigned by Management or Supervisors.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing functions. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
Good command of English. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) and familiar with procurement or ERP systems.
Strong negotiation skills, with a high level of attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Willing to travel and work between 1 Mont Kiara and Rawang as required.
