A leading company in Malaysia is seeking a Public Relations Executive to oversee PR activities and enhance brand awareness. The role involves developing strategies for public relations, managing media relations, and executing engaging content across various platforms. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and proven experience in PR and communications.

Work closely with internal teams to ensure the seamless functionality and coordination of all public relations, marketing, advertising, and promotional activities.
Develop and implement integrated PR and communication plans aligned with organizational objectives.
Content Creation & Media Relations:
Develop, write, and manage editorial proposals, presentations, press releases, articles, speeches, and other PR materials.
Proactively secure positive editorial coverage in print, broadcast, and digital media to elevate brand awareness and reputation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders.
Social Media Management:
Plan, execute, and monitor the brand's presence and engagement strategies across social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X).
Develop engaging social media content and campaigns.
Content & Asset Management:
Assist with or manage the coordination of photo shoots, video production, and the development of social content and retail marketing assets.
Maintain and organize a comprehensive News Library/ Media Archive.
Monitoring & Reporting:
Monitor daily news related to the organization, industry, and competitors.
Generate comprehensive reports (monthly, post-campaign, or as required) on PR activities, media coverage, and ROI.
Creative & Campaign Management:
Develop creative, relevant, and impactful ideas for marketing and PR activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Manage internal and external resources for campaign briefings, execution, and follow-up.
Event Support:
Provide active support for events organized by the department, including planning, execution, and post-event communications.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or similar qualification in Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Crucially, this experience must be gained from either an agency setting or a corporate communications department.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications and/or Journalism.
Proven experience in copywriting, with a strong portfolio of written materials (press releases, articles, social media content, etc.).
Excellent command of the English language (both verbal and written).
Good verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia.
Ability to read and write in Mandarin is a strong added advantage.
Demonstrable experience in developing and executing successful PR and social media campaigns.
Strong understanding of media relations and digital media landscapes.
Independent, proactive, and resourceful with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
