Job description

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for managing and reporting on the financial aspect of project ensuring that project is completed within budget and meets financial objectives. Works closely with Project Control Manager, Finance Team, and other stakeholders to monitor project costs, analyze financial data, and provide strategic insight to guide decision-making.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop, manage, and monitor project budget.
  2. Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Control Managers to prepare cost estimates and forecasts.
  3. Track project expenses and ensure adherence to budget.
  4. Prepare and present details of the monthly financial report.
  5. Analyze cost trending and variance to identify potential risks.
  6. Provide insight on cost savings, opportunities, potential cost overruns, and recommend corrective actions.
  7. Identify financial risks and provide mitigation strategies.
  8. Assist in the development of a Contingency Plan for budget overruns.
  9. Work with cross-functional stakeholders to align on budgetary financial goals.
  10. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure transparency in financial processes.
  11. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  12. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  13. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to project finance and cost control.
  14. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in project cost management.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Degree in Finance/Accounting/Engineering/Any equivalent field.
  2. 1-5 years of working experience in Project Cost Control/Project Management Team.
  3. Proficient in tracking costs, able to forecast cost at completion and integrate cost reporting.
  4. Experience in Project Control/Project Management of Heavy Engineering Projects (EPCIC/EPCC/EPCI/EPC/epC).
