In this role, you will be responsible for handling media vendors and facilitating clients throughout the buying process and additional duties as assigned. The role includes both independent and coordinated buying initiatives.

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:
  • Complete knowledge of buying and planning systems.
  • Understanding of the GroupM buying and planning process – includes basic understanding and importance of proprietary tools.
  • Execute basic media and proprietary campaigns.
In six months:
  • Conduct negotiations with partners and close deals.
  • Analyze and interpret data and its impact.
  • Develop strong relationships with partners.
In 12 months:
  • Develop, execute and analyze negotiation deals.
  • Promote GroupM proprietary products.
  • Close negotiation deals and manage assigned clients.

What your day job looks like at GroupM:
The Buying team at GroupM Nexus delivers best in class media buying and implementation.
The following are the responsibilities of the Non-Biddable Buying team. The varying degree of complexity is subject to individual job level:
• Solid understanding of brand, deliverables and campaign KPI’s of the assigned clients ‘portfolio
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve and enhance client’s campaigns and advise Client Delivery team accordingly
• Proactively address, and when needed escalate, any issue that compromises the quality and timeliness of deliverables
• Conduct quality control and assurance of the own workstream before handing it over to another team
• Understanding and 100% compliance with finance processes and GroupM policies and procedures
KEY INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently execute Non-Biddable traditional & digital campaigns (such as TV, Non-TV, or Digital) for the assigned portfolio of GroupM clients
• Create media schedules using the media operating system for review and approval
• Monitor, manage and report on clients’ budgets and deliveries of clients KPI across offline media
• Coordinate with respective parties on tracking data for weekly monitoring performance
• Create and maintain Material Requirements for campaigns, including liaising with content providers and vendors to ensure smooth delivery of campaign materials to vendors
• Ensure the best in class process is adhered to for all campaign operations
• Work closely with all team members to improve working efficiency and effectiveness
• Learn new tools and delivery technologies to maximize campaign performance
• Develop strong relationships with Non-Biddable traditional & digital media vendors, media owners, Ad Serving and Ad Technology’s partners to capitalize on their product offering, key differentiation and technical Ads specifications
• Contribute actionable insights and analysis to mid and post campaign reports to improve in-flight optimizations and future campaign brief recommendations
• Be the key point of contact with the finance team on client invoicing and vendor payment issues
• Any other project or tasks as assigned from time to time

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent diploma in disciplines as STEM, Mass Communications, Digital Advertising/Media, Business Studies or relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
  • Effective communication skills and ability to adjust to a fast-changing environment
  • Team player - able to receive and provide feedback professionally, thrive in a team environment and able to work collaboratively
