Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities

• Attend all customs matters for empty containers, including inspections, scanning, and on-site meetings with customs officers.
• Ensure urgent and accurate submission of K1, K2, K3 and ZB forms.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding or "hanging" customs forms to prevent delays.
• Idle Equipment Management – Act as the dedicated contact to manage idle empty containers at depots and terminals; liaise with operational teams to optimize equipment turnaround and minimize storage costs
• On-Hire/Off-Hire/One-Way Arrangements – Coordinate with lessors and truckers for equipment pickup, delivery, and repositioning related to on-hire, one-way movements.
• Seal Management – Manage seal procurement, inventory, and distribution in coordination with suppliers and the HO team
• Operational Communication – Monitor and respond to daily emails from the logistics team mailbox to ensure timely action on operational requests.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma/Degree holder with 2 years’ experience in logistics, preferably in handling internal/external empty containers in container liner industry.
• Those without qualifications with proven record will be considered.
• Work independently with minimum supervision and able to work in a highly dynamic environment.
• Good communication skills both in written and oral English and Bahasa Malaysia.
