About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive in Investment & Research to join the team at Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank) in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur. As an Executive, Investment & Research, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's strategic investment decisions and research initiatives. This is a contract position.

What you'll be doing

Lead end-to-end onboarding of property projects (briefing, evaluation, legal coordination, portal setup).

Conduct Property Assessment & Evaluation (PAE) including:

Developer/project assessment

Site visits and mystery shopping

Market and sales package analysis

Collaborate with REV Sales & Marketing to manage developer relationships and identify new opportunities.

Liaise with REV Legal on Framework Agreement (FA) status and renewals.

Conduct periodic property market research and update onboarding strategies.

Perform annual desktop valuation of portfolio properties.

Support asset disposal activities with relevant PAE work.

Monitor and review corporate accounts (e.g. EWPM, TASC, AA in EOS).

Manage data subscriptions and appoint panel valuers when needed.

Conduct research for new business initiatives (e.g. UrbanWave, Nusantara).

Prepare proposals for strategic collaborations (e.g. with Government, MAIDAM, Wakaf).

What we're looking for

Relevant degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field

Minimum of 3 years' experience in investment research, financial analysis, or a similar role

Strong understanding of financial markets, investment instruments, and portfolio management principles

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and information

Proficient in using financial modelling and data analysis tools, such as Excel and Bloomberg

Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for a non-technical audience

Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
