Job Purpose & Overview:

Responsible for conducting industry research, planning and implementing engagement activities, providing advisory services, and building and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders. This role aims to enhance workforce productivity and skills development by ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and comprehensive training needs analysis.

Key Accountabilities:

Industry Understanding & Training Needs Analysis

  • Research and gather data on industry trends and workforce capabilities to conduct comprehensive training needs analysis (TNA) that identifies skill gaps and training requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports from TNA findings to provide recommendations on relevant trainings or schemes that can benefit employers in enhancing workforce productivity and skills development.

Planning of Stakeholder Engagement Activities

  • Draft engagement proposals outlining the objectives, methodology, expected outcomes, and budget for the activities to ensure it can positively impact the employers and stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in developing programme, seminars, workshop and other engagement activities with the stakeholders to increase awareness and understanding on available trainings and schemes that can benefits the stakeholders.

Implementation of Engagement Activities

  • Coordinate and implement the planned stakeholder engagement activities by collaborating with internal teams and external partners for effective execution and successful delivery of industry programmes, whilst ensuring effective and sustained engagement with the stakeholders.
  • Coordinate industry-specific training programs and initiatives to ensure all aspects are meticulously prepared and structured.

Building & Maintaining Relationship

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, customers, and stakeholders in various industries to ensure strong, long-term partnerships.
  • Engage regularly with stakeholders through meetings, networking events, and other communication channels to understand their needs, gather feedback, and provide continuous support.

Advisory & Consultations to Stakeholders

  • Provide consultations and advice to stakeholders in the identification of best training areas and capability relevant to their business and industry to ensure effective identification of upskilling and reskilling needs that would effectively impact the talent development and the business value.
  • Advise the stakeholders on any relevant inquiries to the trainings, schemes, levy application, Allowable Cost Matrix and other matters under the organisational purview to ensure active participation of stakeholders in talent and workforce development.

Educational Qualification & Relevant Experience (skills & knowledge):

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Public Administration Communications, or related disciplines.
  • 1-5 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, industry analysis, or a similar role would be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends and workforce development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Willing to work at Bintulu, Sarawak area.
