The Magellan Sutera Resort, a five-star luxury resort nestled in the heart of Kota Kinabalu, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Housekeeper to lead our Housekeeping team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader who takes pride in delivering exceptional standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, including guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Lead and inspire a team of supervisors, room attendants, and housekeeping staff to maintain high standards.
  • Manage departmental budgets, labor costs, and inventory control effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement best practices in hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality assurance and address areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the guest experience.
  • Provide training, coaching, and career development opportunities to the housekeeping team.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives in line with the resort’s green practices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Executive Housekeeper or similar role in a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping operations, budgets, and modern cleaning techniques.
  • Ability to manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills in English; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
  • Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred.
  • Open for Malaysian candidates only.
