The Global Risk and Compliance (GRC) Services is a newly formed department which will support the iFAST Group across a range of risk and compliance services. iFAST is searching for a motivated and proactive individual who is willing to take on the challenge in being the pioneers and setting the correct risk culture for the team. You will be tasked with supporting the Risk Manager in executing the responsibilities of the Risk Management Department ensuring that iFast Global Bank (UK) remains compliant with regulatory requirements. You will have the following roles and responsibilities:

  1. Assisting with preparation of materials and facilitating of the Executive Risk Committee meeting. This may include meeting scheduling, collation and distribution of material, following up and maintaining the action item log and taking of minutes.
  2. Assisting with preparing the meeting pack for the Board Risk Committee.
  3. Conducting assurance reviews of systems and controls for 1LOD functions.
  4. Assisting in the maintenance of the Bank Risk management framework and associated risk frameworks.
  5. Monitoring and reporting of risk appetite KRIs.
  6. Reviewing and validating Risk MI required for external reporting.
  7. Monitoring and reporting on open control issues raised from monitoring reviews to closure validating evidence provided to support issue closure.
  8. Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and providing timely and accurate compliance advisory to the relevant stakeholders to ensure that the company complies with applicable rules and regulations.
  9. Assisting the Risk Manager with practical implementations of non BAU projects.

Requirements and Desired Qualities:

  1. Bachelor Degree in any discipline with 2nd Upper Class Honours and above.
  2. Up to 2 years of working experience in compliance, legal, risk, audit or other related areas in the financial services industry (preferred, but not mandatory).
  3. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  4. Able to perform well in a high-pressure environment against tight timelines.
  5. Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  6. High attention to detail.
  7. Independent, analytical, meticulous, and self-motivated.
  8. Willing to work on Malaysia Public Holiday when necessary.
  9. Open to travel overseas.
