Job summary

A leading property development company in Petaling Jaya seeks an experienced finance professional to manage financial operations and accounting. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with financial standards. Candidates should have a degree in Accounting and at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the retail mall industry. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journals for month end closing in accounting system.
  • Responsible for financial reporting deliverables.
  • Perform month-end analysis of actual expenditure.

Requirements

Job Purpose

  • Reporting to Assistant Manager, Finance (Retail)
  • Support in financial operations and financial accounting, which includes management reporting, statutory reporting, treasury, taxation and compliance

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall full set of accounts, preparation of journals for month end closing in accounting system and ensure timely submission of finalised accounts
  • Responsible for various financial reporting deliverables in accordance with finance policies, financial reporting standards and ensure timely submission
  • Prepare monthly schedules and reconciliation of accounts
  • Perform monthly analysis of actual expenditure against approved budget
  • Assist in annual budget and monthly forecast
  • Maintain fixed asset schedule and manage all the fixed assets related matters
  • Assist in cash management, monitor daily cash balance and prepare bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly SST submission, corporate tax computation, tax estimate and deferred tax calculation
  • Handle daily finance operations
  • Assist in IT system implementation and maintenance
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of Finance department and to ensure controls are in place
  • Ensure finance administration, filling and documentations are in order
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as auditors, tax agent and etc
  • Any ad-hoc duties assigned by the management

Education/ Professional Qualification

  • Degree holder Accounting or professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting related fields
  • Preferably with knowledge and experience in retail mall industry
  • Well versed with Microsoft Office application and proficient in Excel
  • Strong communication, teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Independent, disciplined, committed and dedicated to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Able to take on urgent and ad-hoc task
  • Has a growth and change mindset for continuous improvement
  • Work well under pressure and agile under fast changing environment
