Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate sales teams to achieve sales targets for assigned businesses/territories and overall business objectives.
General Responsibilities
- Support superiors in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against budgets to ensure efficient resource use.
- Prepare and implement sales action plans, including planning sales routes and making regular calls/visits, to meet sales targets.
- Track team progress against KPIs and sales plans; provide feedback on execution and development areas.
- Execute sales activities such as product introductions, order taking, merchandising, and in-store displays.
- Prepare and review quotations, proposals, and contracts to facilitate sales agreements.
- Monitor competitors' activities and produce reports; recommend actions to counter competition.
- Prepare sales reports, forecast sales/margins, and monitor customer demand fluctuations.
- Coordinate activities to improve sales processes, customer satisfaction, and payment collection.
- Resolve customer issues and follow up on actions needed.
- Maintain customer relationships, respond to queries, and solicit further orders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely product delivery and develop key customer relationships.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
- Good understanding of the industry, market, competitors, and customers.
- Strong knowledge of assigned territories, products, and sales skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Basic research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in office tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in the local language and preferably in English, both written and spoken.
Education
Diploma or professional qualification in Business Studies, Marketing, Economics, or related fields.
