Job summary

Malaysia Airports Berhad is seeking an experienced professional to monitor, control and command O&M engineering facilities within the ECC2 for seamless airport operations. The role emphasizes strict adherence to IMS with ISO standards and SAP-enabled processes across daily tasks.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, with membership in IEM preferred and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/Mechanical registered with BEM.
• Familiarity with SAP systems is an advantage.
• Preferably a member of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM).

Responsibilities

• Monitor, control & command O&M engineering facilities for ECC2 to ensure smooth airport operation.
• Ensure compliance with IMS and ISO standards (QMS, EMS, OHSAS, ISMS).
• Maintain procedures, SOPs and SAP-based workflows for daily activities.
• Analyse breakdown reports and coordinate with units for issue resolution.
• Lead crisis management and report to Top Management as needed.
• Provide guidance to executives and plan manpower utilization and training.

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Monitor, control & command of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) engineering facilities for smooth airport operation for Engineering Control Centre (ECC2)

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Standard & Procedure Compliance
• Ensure unit achievement on the objective In Integrated Management System (IMS): ISO 9001-2008(QMS), ISO 14001-2004(EMS), ISO 18001-2007(OHSAS) and ISO 27001-2013(ISMS)
• Enforce and maintain unit compliance with ISO 9001-2008, ISO 14001-2004, ISO 18001-2007 and ISO 27001-2013 quality manual procedures and adhere with SAP systems.
• Ensure unit compliance with latest ICAO, ACI, DCA, Malaysian Laws & Regulations, British & American Standard of practices and other relevant laws.
• Ensure unit compliance with company procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for execution and completion of daily activities.

Analysis

• Analyse breakdown report received by sub-ordinate, coordinate among respective unit, and follow up (major issue) and,
• Analyse normality of chilled water supply/return and,
• Observe power consumption(load) for KLIA and klia2.

Supporting Other Engineering Unit

• Handle engineering work (contractor/support service) for engineering unit w/o centre (after office hour) or,
• Liaise among Operation Control Centres on behalf of engineering unit (approval to proceed, gate closure) of planned maintenance activities.

Unit's report

• Produce Daily Engineering Status/update at every end of shift with latest and correct engineering info
• Monitor and update Top Management when major incident occur then prepare Preliminary Incident Report (PIR)

Crisis management

• Lead whole engineering unit during crisis as per Airport Emergency Plan (AEP) procedure
• Monitor and update Top Management as well as prepare chronology report

FEI & AM

• Lead World Class Maintenance (WCM) project
• Prepare as well as update progress then present Focus Equipment Improvement (FEI) project to committee
• Enforce Autonomous Maintenance(AM)

5S

• Enforce for the application of 5S in the workplace (refer 5S handbook)
• Maintain 5S among staffs

Floater

• Analyse daily temperature reading, produce monthly graph and,
• Produce Monthly SAP analysis for whole month reports/complaints and,
• Analyse Outstanding (OSNO) SAP report to achieve IMS objective.
• Cover/replace staff on duty at ECC1/ECC2 when required

Others

• Attend meeting/site inspection/join maintenance activities (if required)
• Provide guidance for executives and other sub-ordinates on the work planning execution and successful completion.
• Planning and enforcement on utilization of manpower, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training syllabus for personnel competency and career development.
• Monitor the execution of O&M related plan and activities
• Performance review of direct report staffs
• Approval of leave application of direct report staffs

Education

• Bachelor's Degree Electrical / Electronic / Civil / Mechanical registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia(BEM)
• Preferably a Member of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia

Relevant Industries

• Minimum 1 year working experience
• Registered with BEM
• Familiar with SAP system is an advantage
