Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Regular hours), one Saturday in a month

Job Descriptions

Job Responsibilities

  • Keep abreast with all updates/changes to the Employment Act, Trade Union Act, Industrial Relations Act, SOCSO Act, EPF Act, Income Tax Act, OSH Act, Minimum Wage Orders, etc., to ensure compliance.
  • Provide advice and guidance to Heads of Factory (HOF)/Heads of Department (HODs) on matters relating to Human Resources policies, procedures, and HR best practices.
  • Represent the company in conciliation meetings at Labour Office/Industrial Relations Department/Court.

Staff Discipline

  • Assist the Human Resource Manager in investigating staff misconduct, providing counseling, and issuing disciplinary letters to address and document staff wrongdoings, misconducts, and non-compliance with policies.
  • Conduct domestic inquiries as required, ensuring employee termination procedures are in accordance with HR policies. Check staff attendance monthly and notify HR of any non-compliance.

Others

  • Conduct exit interviews and prepare reports on the interviews conducted.
  • Ensure MEF yearly subscription is renewed promptly.
  • Take additional responsibilities as instructed by the immediate superior.
  • The scope of authority shall refer to the relevant work process procedures and instructions.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum diploma with relevant experience.
  • Degree in any discipline, preferably in Human Resources, from reputable universities.
  • Good command of English and Malay (spoken and written).
  • Results-oriented, with strong follow-up and negotiation skills.
  • Pleasant personality and ability to interact at all levels.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian Labour legislation and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Result-driven, able to work independently, and meet deadlines.
