Job summary

A leading logistics company is seeking an Inventory Control Manager in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia. The successful candidate will oversee inventory integrity and accuracy, manage inventory functions and enhance operations. Candidates must have a degree or diploma in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of work experience required.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management System and SAP is an advantage.
  • Holder of a Stock Picker and/or Forklift license.

Job description

  • Monitor and control inventory integrity, including product identification and location programs
  • Research inventory discrepancies and make necessary corrections
  • Manage the inventory control function at the site
  • Oversee physical inventories, cycle counts, random or receipt audits, and reconciliations
  • Track and report non-conforming products, and resolve inventory issues in a timely manner
  • Document and control aged, scrap, and damaged products
  • Maintain inventory accuracy metrics and associated reports for management/client
  • Coordinate and integrate efforts across the operations department to improve inventory accuracy
  • Must be able to pass the Stock Picker (SP) certification test and operate the unit on a daily basis
  • Initiate actions to prevent non-conformities related to products, processes, and quality systems
  • Recommend or provide solutions through appropriate channels and verify their implementation
  • Degree or Diploma holder in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum 3–5 years of work experience
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management System and SAP is an advantage
  • Service-oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Holder of a Stock Picker and/or Forklift license
