Job summary

A leading property developer in Johor Bahru is seeking an Executive in Construction (M&E) to supervise MEP trades and ensure compliance with design specifications. The role involves coordinating with contractors, monitoring site activities for safety standards, and preparing progress reports. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in MEP supervision.

Job description

EXECUTIVE, CONSTRUCTION (M&E - Property Developer)

Job Description:

Supervise the execution of assigned MEP trades as directed, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and project schedules by contractors.

Coordinate with contractors and relevant trades to ensure effective site execution, resolve technical coordination issues, and support the successful testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.

Assist in reviewing shop drawings and method statements to understand scope and ensure correct site implementation.

Conduct on-site checks to ensure safety procedures and workmanship standards are followed.

Report daily activities, site progress, and issues.

Support the testing and commissioning process and follow up on defect rectification.

Monitor site activities to ensure progress is on track and work is carried out safely and correctly.

Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve site issues and coordinate technical details.

Inspect workmanship and ensure all MEP installations comply with regulatory safety and quality standards.

Prepare and submit daily or weekly progress reports, attend coordination meetings, and track milestones.

Support testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.

Coordinate with the procurement team for the timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant course.

At least 3 years of working experience in MEP supervision in construction, building, consulting, property development, or related field.

Experience in high-rise building construction is an advantage.

Strong technical knowledge in ACMV, BMS, fire protection, plumbing & sanitation, electrical, security, and ELV systems.

Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).

Familiar with local regulations, codes of practice, and technical standards.

Able to handle multiple demands, well organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.

Good computer skills and proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
