Job Description:
This position's roles are similar to Clerk of Works (CoW), Inspector of Works (IOW) and Site Supervisor in the construction sector, mainly focusing on property development.
Supervise and coordinate daily on-site construction activities to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of work.
Monitor and supervise work at project sites (High-Rise Buildings & Landed properties).
Ensure all construction work complies with approved plans, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Assist in monitoring site progress, identifying potential delays, and reporting issues and updates promptly to the Construction Manager.
Coordinate and liaise with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and relevant authorities to ensure seamless project execution.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with construction methods, standards, and local regulations in Malaysia.
Prepare and update daily/weekly site progress reports, including documentation of work done, manpower, materials, and machinery.
Assist in resolving site-related issues and technical problems during construction activities.
Ensure contractors meet renovation specifications, quality standards, budget, and timeline requirements.
Monitor material usage and ensure timely delivery to avoid disruptions.
Participate in project meetings, inspections, and audits with stakeholders as required.
Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet project timelines.
Coordinate defect rectification during project handover and close-out phases.
Monitor field work, including contract work, to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and specifications.
Collaborate with estimating and purchasing teams during project setup to ensure profitability, client satisfaction, and optimal contractor selection.
Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Building Surveying, M&E, Construction Management, Engineering, Real Estate, or a related field.
Have at least 3-5 years of experience in construction, building, consulting, property development, or related fields.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
Able to work independently under pressure.
Organized, detail-oriented, able to handle multiple demands, and meet deadlines.
Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
