Job summary

EMART24 HOLDINGS SDN. BHD. seeks an Executive in Category (Research & Development) to identify and develop new food products using internal and external resources.

You will coordinate weekly product evaluations, prepare SOPs and training materials, and lead tastings and benchmarking to improve taste, texture, and packaging. You will also manage development activities, assist in early production quality assessments, and perform market research, price analysis, and consumer feedback reporting

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in related food studies.
• Knowledge of GMP & HACCP is preferred.
• At least 2 years in a similar field or scope of work.

Responsibilities

• Identify & develop new products via internal resources or external support.
• Conduct weekly product evaluations and surveys.
• Prepare SOPs, training materials, and evaluation reports.
• Develop new recipes, test samples, and improve taste, texture, packaging, and quality.
• Assist in first production quality assessments at facilities.

Job description

Executive - Category (Research & Development)

Identify & develop new product via internal resources or external support for new product development.

Conduct Weekly product evaluation via appointed panel & conduct general survey.

Prepare SOPs, product training materials, and product evaluation reports.

Develop new recipes, prepare samples for testing, and improve taste, texture, packaging, and product quality.

Manage new product development activities and assist in conduct first production quality assessments at internal and external manufacturing facilities.

Conduct consumer testing, market research, recipe benchmarking, and price analysis.

Assist in recording learning on flavor, portion, and pricing from consumer’s feedback and preparing reports.

Support the implementation of food safety requirements and participate in supplier audits

Competencies (Skills And Abilities):

Individual that are passionate about food and beverages.

Understand or familiar with food and beverages, its processing method.

Attention to details and accuracy, well organized, adaptive, able to work under pressure and able to
meet tight deadlines.

Added advantage in Food Merchandising, category development, and food sourcing.

Have basic understanding / experience in HACCP and Food Safety.

Able to work in groups and independently.

Fast learner, Possess positive attitude and initiative, able to multitasked.

Strong communication (verbal & written), meticulous and detailed oriented.

Computer literate, good analytical skill & sensitive to current food trend.

Qualifications:

Diploma/Bachelor of Food Science & Nutrition, or

Diploma/Bachelor of Food Technology, or

Diploma/Bachelor of Food Service, or

Diploma/Bachelor of Culinary Arts, or

Food related Studies, or knowledge in Mixology/ Barista.

Knowledge in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) & HACCP

Principles & Applications
Have at least 2 years' experience in the similar field / scope of work.
