Job description

Manage and coordinate internal and external Occupational Health Safety Audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements.

Promote a safety culture and organizational values that align with the company's goals, strategies, and plans.

Anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control adverse health effects resulting from interactions between individuals and their working or living environments.

Ensure environmental impacts are minimized and both internal and external requirements are managed effectively to reduce company liabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety briefings for all visitors, guests, and vendors upon entry to the factory.
• Ensure all personal protective equipment (PPE), safety tools, signage meet company safety standards.
• Provide safety training to all new hires and employees, including in-house fire evacuation drills. Coordinate with external bodies for first aid training, forklift training, boiler inspections, etc., in collaboration with the safety committee.
• Conduct daily safety briefings for each department according to schedule and share safety updates or lessons during town hall sessions.
• Chair monthly safety committee meetings, presenting routine plans, identifying hazards or unsafe behaviors, and proposing corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation of all safety-related matters in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Update safety evacuation route maps and ensure safety signage and fire extinguishers are properly placed and accessible.
• Investigate and report any accidents occurring within the factory and submit reports to statutory authorities.
• Oversee all health and safety matters including waste handling, disposal, factory housekeeping, and environmental compliance.
• Advise Production and other relevant departments prior to job approval for contractors, ensuring they are equipped with safety tools, valid licenses, and insurance coverage.
