Job description

To handle sustainability and occupational safety and health (OSH) related matters including documentation and implementation of sustainability and OSH requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

1. Handle sustainability and OSH related matters including documentation and implementation of sustainability and OSH requirements.
2. Produce the Sustainability Statement by compiling data on material issues gathered from information owners of responsible business units, planning and overseeing the writing as well as reviewing of the Sustainability Statement, and ensuring the Statement fulfills Bursa Malaysia’s requirements.
3. Draft and prepare reports, presentations, and proposals; present proposals and recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors.
4. Develop and execute relevant sustainability initiatives and practices, regulatory compliances, and response strategies.
5. Lead and guide the sustainability team in carrying out audits and preparation of external audits.
6. Oversee the preparation and submission of ESG/Sustainability reports, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
7. Engage with stakeholders including local communities, NGOs, government bodies, and investors to address concerns and promote transparency.
8. Drive for continuous improvement in sustainability and ESG indicators - tracking, compliance, monitoring, and reporting including developing, formulating, and implementing policies, business processes, and data management.
9. Provide training on sustainability based on industry-accepted best practices.
10. Serve as the primary contact for questions and/or suggestions regarding Sustainability and sustainability reporting.
11. Any other task as assigned by the Management.

WE WANT SOMEONE WHO:

1. Possess a degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field in Sustainability.
2. Able to speak and write fluently in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
3. Minimum 3 years of experience in sustainability management.
4. In-depth knowledge of ESG principles, frameworks, and reporting standards.
5. Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance.
6. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
7. Multitasking and resourceful team player.
8. Leadership experience and passion for sustainability and environmental conservation.
