We are now searching for a ESG Data Executive to support ESG Reporting and Data Management department in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Ambu ESG global business intelligence, Power BI and Excel dashboard, analytics and data warehouses with the particular focus on environmental and social data and other initiatives. It means that you will work closely with other team members, but also with other corporate functions such as BI and IT teams and local stakeholders to provide support in relations to various projects and initiatives.

As ESG Data Executive you will report directly to Head of ESG Reporting and Data Management department and will be part of the global organization. ESG Data Executive position is based at Ambu’s office in Global Hub Office in Penang, Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, optimizing, and maintaining interactive BI reports and dashboards in Power BI and Excel to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and centralizing key business data, including financial, operational, and ESG-related data.
  • Automating data collection and management processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload by applying advanced DAX and Microarray formulas in Excel, Power BI as well as developing semantic models.
  • Developing and maintaining integrations between databases in cloud environments such as Azure with Power BI and other analytical tools.
  • Translating complex data sets into intuitive visualizations and insights for various stakeholders.
  • Supporting management with strategic reporting by preparing comprehensive and customizable reports.
  • Ensuring data quality and integrity through data validation processes and analytic model checks.
  • Providing training and workshops to ensure effective use of BI tools and reports across the organization.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with teams to understand business needs and transform them into actionable insights.

Suggested Candidate Profile

Skills

Skills and experiences can be earned in many ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you:

  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting.
  • Are highly proficient in Microsoft Power BI, advanced in Excel including DAX and data modeling.
  • Possess strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
  • Have experience with data visualization and reporting best practices.
  • Have experience working with large datasets and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Are familiar with or interested in ESG reporting and data management (a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to work within an organization to gather data and drive collaboration across functions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization with strong problem-solving, prioritization skills, and time management.
  • Ability to work independently and being proactive, motivated, and a fast learner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business Intelligence, Analytics or Data Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Ability to work well in teams in a cross-functional, global, diverse, and multi-cultural environment.
