Job summary

CITIC Securities International in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an motivated Equity Derivatives Sales professional to service clients, build relationships, and promote equity derivative products across institutional and high net-worth clients.

You will assist in executing trades, prepare market insights, and develop tailored product solutions with guidance from senior colleagues, while ensuring compliance with Malaysian regulations and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics or related field.
• Strong interest and understanding of Malaysian capital markets and equities derivatives.
• Basic knowledge of derivative instruments (options, futures, swaps) and hedging strategies.
• Familiarity with Bursa Malaysia and FBM KLCI; global equity markets knowledge.
• Proficiency in Excel; Bloomberg; VBA or Python for data analysis advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support senior sales staff in client relationship management with institutional and HNWI clients.
• Pitch equity derivative products including options, structured products and swaps.
• Coordinate with traders in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong for pricing and execution.
• Prepare term sheets, market updates, and investment strategy notes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.
• Assist in organizing client roadshows, webinars, and product trainings.
