Job summary

AMETEK Haydon Kirk Pittman in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia seeks a Manufacturing Equipment & Tooling Engineer to lead engineering and quality functions, drive continuous improvement, and ensure product and process excellence. You will maintain furnaces, tooling, fixtures, and equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, and manage maintenance programs while coordinating external service providers as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
3-5 years experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance methods; TPM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain furnaces, testing equipment, tooling, fixtures and related manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and perform preventive maintenance per schedules.
Maintain maintenance records, repair histories, and equipment maintenance schedules.
Track performance metrics, downtime and maintenance costs; generate reports.
Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure availability to support production.
Coordinate tooling repair and readiness for production schedules; supervise external service providers when needed.
Support installation, commissioning and qualification of new equipment.
Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance costs and improve equipment efficiency.
