Job summary

MENICON MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is looking for a Maintenance Technician to carry out routine maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment for lens manufacturing lines to ensure operational efficiency.

The role involves line support for equipment setup, PM activities, parts servicing, and assisting engineers on installations, OEE projects, and process yield improvements, while maintaining 5S, GMP and safety standards. English and Malay language skills are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Engineering as stated in the qualifications.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in related fields; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Analytical, problem solving and good communication skills; able to learn quickly and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery & corrective maintenance to meet KPIs.
• Perform routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) and complete documentation as required (e-checklist).
• Perform service of parts, assemblies and swap kits.
• Track spare parts & consumables usage to ensure availability for production usage.
• Assist Engineer on equipment installation, product-system qualification, equipment troubleshooting & projects in OEE improvements.
• Work as a team member of an integrated team to maximize tool availability and process yield.
• Ensure 5S, GMP and safety & health protocols compliances.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by immediate superior.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery & corrective maintenance to meet KPIs defined in respective functional area.

Perform routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) and complete documentation as required (e-checklist).

Perform service of parts, assemblies and swap kits.

Tracks spare parts & consumables usage to ensure availability for production usage.

Assist Engineer on equipment installation, product-system qualification, equipment troubleshooting & projects in any area of overall equipment efficiency (OEE) improvements.

Work as a team member of an integrated team to maximize tool availability and process yield.

Ensure 5S, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety & health protocols compliances.

Perform any other related duties as assigned by immediate superior.

Qualifications

Education level : Diploma in Engineering or Certificate in Engineering with minimum 3 years working experience. Preferably Mechanical/Mechatronic, Electrical & Electronics candidates.

Year of Experience : Minimum 1 year of working experience in related fields. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Capability : Well versed in analytical, problem solving and good communication skills. The ability to learn fast and to be able to work within a team.

Skills : Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel application.

Language : English & Malay is a must, Japanese will be an added advantage.
